I am a huge fan of the series so I decided I would make a prop worthy of the most hardcore jack sparrow fans! No fan should have to deal with the average replicas on this site or on the internet for that matter.
I put my heart and soul into all my projects and I take them personally and I take my customs suggestions and idea's very personally, I didn't want to just be another shop on Etsy, I wanted to be a shop that actually cares about it's customers. I really will go beyond the average to make sure you feel happy with my products and services. My process for this project:
Research, a lot of research, obscure forums and creator blogs, video and posts. Gathering as many images, pictures, measurements and information I could find on jacks Flintlock, this one is from the second film and it is also used in the 3rd, just some slight alterations from film to film.
Then I used the 3D software of Zbrush, blender to make and sculpture the model and add all the engravings and patterns, took a long time to get it right but I am happy with the end product.
I then run the 3D model through a 3D slicing software so I can add supports to the model and i can start it printing.
printing takes 2-3 days as i keep the layer lever super low so it keeps all the details of the metal chips and woodgrain effect.
Went finished printing i:
-Remove the supports
-Wash the model
-Cure the model with UV light (This make the resin tough)
-Sand the model
then I sand and give the model a primer coat, this can take 4-5 attempts sanding and coating again to get the desired effect ready for the. black gloss!
-I coat with black gloss
-Then I use a metal powder coat to give the silver a real metal look
-I then paint the browns and wood effect, this takes many different shades and blacks and browns to get it right following the grain of the model so it flows.
Then i can add deep wash paint shadows and finish off with some edge highlights all over the model making it pop and really come to life.
I finish with a protection coat to seal all that in.

I really do hope you enjoy your new Jack sparrow flintlock, would love to get some images of it used in cosplay and full outfit, that would be really cool to see :)
